who we are

The Church of the Nazarene is the largest denomination in the classical Wesleyan-Holiness tradition. The doctrine that distinguishes the Church

of the Nazarene and other Wesleyan denominations from most other

Christian denominations is that of entire sanctification.

Nazarenes believe that God calls Christians to a life of holy living that is marked by an act of God, cleansing the heart from original sin and filling the individual with love for God and humankind.

The West Texas District Church of the Nazarene is a multicultural family of roughly 100 congregations, Church-Type Missions, Parent-Affiliated Congregations and Compassionate Ministry Centers located throughout the northwestern third of Texas.

Our district covers almost 100,000 square miles, from Fort Worth, to Lubbock, Amarillo, and Dalhart in the Texas Panhandle. We are united in our desire to share the joy of forgiveness and deliverance found in relationship with Jesus Christ.

When you enter the auditorium, please sit where you prefer. Service will begin with a welcome, musical worship, and a short prayer.

Pastor Cal will then speak for 30 minutes, doing his best to keep the message interesting, enjoyable, and relevant to everyday life. The message is based on the Bible, and if the job is done right, you'll hear solid Christian theology in intelligent, understandable, and relevant terms. Service will end after approximately 75 minutes.

Mid-service we take offering from those who call Lantana Community their church home...as our guest, your gift is simply your presence. Please don't feel obligated to participate in the offering.

Church is about God and worship, but it's also about community and friendship, so we hope people truly experience warmth and friendliness at Lantana Community Church!
